Ostwald and Clark lead Wednesday play

Ryan Ostwald went below par with a 35 for low individual gross and Steve Clark posted the low individual net of 32 to highlight action in Wednesday Night Men’s League play at River’s Bend last week.

Hagedorn Land Surveying shot the low team gross of 165 and Whitefish Credit Union the low team net of 138 as Whitefish CU held on to the second-half lead in the standings.

Ostwald, Paul Flemmer, Randy Hagedorn and Rick Hagedorn were out on the Bend for the Surveyors last week, and Rick Kendall, Wally Gibe, Rusty Sharp and Chuck Manry carried their clubs for Whitefish CU.

In hole play, Howard Morkert was closest to the pin in 3 on No. 2, Dan Whittenburg rolled in the long putt on No. 3, Shawn Morgan was closest to the pin on No. 5, Gibe knocked down the long putt on No. 6, Clark clocked his tee shot closest to the pin on No. 8 and Ben Mummert blasted the long drive on No. 9.

Gary Thompson dropped in a chip-in shot on No. 1, and Sharp scored one on No. 3.
