Not guilty pleas to drug charges

A Hot Springs woman pleaded not guilty last week after being charged with one count of criminal possession of dangerous drugs. Meggin Gill was detained for questioning after a warrant was exercised on June 18. The search found drugs and drug paraphernalia. During questioning, Gill admitted to hiding a bag of methamphetamine in her bra and placing it in the home, according to court documents.

Also last Tuesday in 20th District Judicial Court, Sheena McCaskill pleaded not guilty to one count of criminal possession of dangerous drugs and one count of criminal possession of dangerous drugs with intent to distribute. On June 5, charging documents state McCaskill was pulled over for suspicious driving and for driving with studded tires. McCaskill and her passenger had expired licenses and were asked to call for a ride. The vehicle was towed and then a search dog was called in. The dog sniff search tested the vehicle positive for drugs. A search was then conducted and drugs along with drug paraphernalia were found in the vehicle.
