BRIDGE INSPECTION

Bridge inspectors from Extreme Access Inc., traveled from Idaho last Thursday to complete a safety inspection on the High Bridge in Thompson Falls. Scott Coleman, one of the three inspectors, said Extreme Access Inc. does a full inspection on the bridge every 10 years. "We inspect the entire bridge," Coleman said. "We look for any kind of deficiencies such as cracking, erosion, or any kind of bending." Coleman said it takes his team the entire day to do a full inspection on this bridge. "The last time we were here to inspect was in 2010," he said. "This bridge has been put on a 10-year cycle, and it was the same company who inspected the bridge ten years ago." Further updates will be provided if the company finds any deficiencies in their inspection.
