Coach Alisha Pablo and her way better-than-average Hot Springs Savage Heat netters scored two more Western C wins last week, pounding out a 25-17, 25-5, 23-25, 25-17 victory over visiting St. Regis in Hot Springs Thursday, and then taming the Darby Tigers 25-15, 25-14, 25-13 in the Bitterroot Valley Saturday.
The Heat have two more Western C matches on tap this week, hosting Seeley-Swan Thursday and visiting the Plains Trotters next Tuesday.
Killing machine Katelyn Christensen had another big night for the Heat against St. Regis, knocking down eight kills, ripping six service aces and hitting six digs, while Lizzy Fisher had eight assists and Savannah Roosma two stuff blocks.
Karmen Alexander hit 12 kills for St. Regis and Grace King added five.
Roosma, Emma Rae Rasmussen and Lily DeTienne hit three service aces each against Darby, Lily Winn floored a team-high 10 kills, Fisher hit 15 assists, and Christensen blocked four shots and had four digs.
Amber Anderson hit four kills and Brinya Child two blocks to lead Darby.
