Playing their first weekend without one of their team leaders, the Hot Springs Savage Heat fell to Clark Fork 63-30 in Alberton Thursday and then to St. Regis 54-40 in Hot Springs Friday.
Looking to fill the very large shoes left by the injury to junior Katelyn Christensen, the Savage Heat played well at times, but ultimately went down to defeat. Christensen injured her knee in Plains January 21 and has been sidelined ever since.
Christensen suffered an ACL injury was set to meet with her doctor early this week.
Coach Richard Jackson and the Heat have only one game on tap this week, Thursday at unbeaten Charlo.
Macy Hill scored 22 points and Baylee Pruitt 10 to lead St. Regis past the Heat. Lizzy Fisher led Hot Springs with 17 points but no other game scoring was available.
Against Clark Fork, Lily DeTienne led the Heat with 11 points, Fisher scored 10, Lauren Aldridge four, Brynn Courville two and Moira Longeran and Emma Rae Rassmussen one apiece.
Lanie Crabb scored 21 points to lead Clark Fork, Cassie Green added 17, Isabella Pereira 11 and Darby Haskins nine.
