Our Viewpoint

The Ledger is proud to be 100% local

This week as we were editing articles and putting the newspaper together, we felt good about all the feel-good news.

At The Ledger, we aim to provide accurate, engaging local news articles. We want to tell the stories of our friends and neighbors and those friends we haven't yet met. We want to show how local businesses are expanding, report on local COVID-19 effects and your local candidates for upcoming elections.

Our sports editor, John Hamilton, works hard each week to make contact with every coach and publish information about every high school team. Even in the pandemic, he has worked to travel around the county to get photos and information on our local athletes.

In this age of information overload where you can get any information — be it true or false — at the click of a button, we are working hard to provide articles by talking to the sources.

We're 100% local, serving our Sanders County readers and those who subscribe across the country because they care about local news.

As The Ledger continues in its 117th year, thank you to all of those who subscribe and advertise and write letters to the editor, and to those who share our local news. We’re proud to keep bringing you your stories.
