14C tourneys are on

By the time you read this, the District 14C boys and girls tournament semifinals will be set. The 14C boys and girls tournaments are to be played entirely remotely later this week, with the higher seeds hosting.

Opening each tournament with first round games played at the higher seeds’ school Tuesday night, the results of those games were not available at press time this week. The semifinals are set to be played Thursday, loser-out games will be contested Friday and the consolations and championships will be on Saturday.

If necessary, challenge games would be played Monday night. The top two teams from each tournament will qualify for the Western C divisional tournament in Deer Lodge, for girls from February 24-26 and for boys February 25-27. The tourney was originally scheduled to be played in Ronan.

In the District 14C girls remotely played tournament, the unbeaten No. 1 seeded Charlo Vikings were awaiting the winner of Tuesday’s game between No. 4 Plains and No. 5 St. Regis while No. 2 Clark Fork waits on the game between No. 3 Noxon and No. 6 Hot Springs.

In the boys tourney, No. 1 Clark Fork will play the winner between No. 4 Charlo and No. 5 Plains, and No. 2 St. Regis will host the survivor between No. 3 Hot Springs and No. 6 Noxon.
