Tina and Jeanne would not be denied and now are the league leaders.
Tina Wheeler shot the low individual gross of 48 and Jeanne Holleran the low individual net of 33 as those two teamed up to post the low team net of 67 to move into first place in Women’s League standings at River’s Bend last Thursday.
Holleran and Wheeler were also the only league players to connect on chip-in shots last week, with Jeanne getting one on No. 5 and Tina getting hers on No. 6.
The previous league leaders, Jan Thompson and Connie Brown shot the low team gross of 102 and are now in second place.
In other league play, Thompson was closest to the pin in 4 on No. 2 and flew her tee shot in closest to the flag on No. 8, Wheeler hit the long 49+ drive on No. 9, Brown rolled in the long putt on No. 6, and Lana Nolen converted the evening’s longest putt on No. 3.
