Emphasize the constitution

This Friday, September 17, is Constitution Day, when our Constitution of the United States was adopted. When I was a student at Thompson Falls schools, you had to learn the preamble to the Constitution and had to recite it quite frequently. I don’t think enough education or emphasis is being put on our Constitution and the importance of our Constitution, especially now when we are so divided. We have the freedom and the education. Everyone needs to know what we are standing for.

"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

We’re not putting enough emphasis on the importance of freedom in our country. It’s time we go back and really give the credit to our forefathers, because I believe in the Constitution.
