Help those at home

Ever wonder why the whole Senate so quickly and easily passed the Defense build up bill of $768 billlion, but did not and will not work together to pass the Build Back Better bill that would bring the USA into the modern era and help all Americans? Who actually benefits from this defense spending while there is so much need at home? Inquiring mind.
