Rowan works tirelessly

Editor

I want to express my support for Mayor Dan Rowan in the upcoming election for Sanders County Commissioner. Even though I do not relish the idea of losing him as mayor, I believe he is the best man for the county commissioner position. I served with him for several years on city council and then for the last five that he has served as mayor. He is a straightforward guy and works tirelessly for the people and community he serves. His angle as mayor is always, what is best for the town and the people that live here. He was instrumental in securing over $10 million of funding for critical water and sewer projects during his tenure. He has also overseen the most street improvements in decades, a major pool rehab, historical jail renovation and many other projects. When needed he has taken of himself to pull weeds on main street, volunteered during cleanup efforts and even plowed and shoveled snow for the city when shorthanded. He is the same guy day in and out doing everything he can to get the job done. Too many times we elect people in positions that use it as a title and then proceed to do the minimum. In short, Dan has helped make our community a better place. He does not show up during an election to make a name for himself to get votes, he just works hard every day doing what needs to be done. If this is the type of guy you want, please join me in supporting Dan Rowan for Sanders County Commissioner.
