Plains man killed in crash near Frenchtown

A 27-year-old Plains man was killed in a one-vehicle accident near Frenchtown early Monday morning.

Montana Highway Patrol (MHP) reported that the man was driving an Oldsmobile Bravada when it ran off the right side of the road just before 2 a.m. Monday. The vehicle then re-entered the roadway, turned into a broadside slide and ran off the right side of the road again before it crashed into a concrete barrier. MHP reported that the driver was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. According to MHP, alcohol and speed are suspected to be factors in the crash.

The man's name was not yet released.
