Over the Hill keeps rolling

There were no wildfires nearby, but the Over the Hill Gang competition was smoking Monday as the gang enjoyed another round around River’s Bend in Thompson Falls.

Carter Meyer was on his game, scoring chip-ins on both No. 1 and No. 5 and also sinking the long putt on No. 8. Dave Garr (No. 5), Scott Garr (No. 4), Dave Petteys (No. 9) and Tom Pride (No. 9) also had chip-ins as they started their golf week. Dave Garr, Ron Beaty

and Al Luckow all added birdies to their scorecards. Dave Garr shot the low mens gross round of 42, Larry Eddy had the low net of 30, Jan Thompson shot the women's low gross of 41 and Lana Nolen the low net of 31. Barb Wooden hit the long drive for the ladies on No. 9 and Beaty’s drive was farthest for the men. Jerry Neal, Thompson, Luckow, Patrick Walt, Bruce Icenoggle and Bruce Sterling all came away with long putt prizes on the course, Beaty’s drive was closest to the pin on No. 5 and Jan Thompson hit the closest drive on No. 8. Dave Garr hit the long drive for those 70 and over on No. 9.
