Hawks sweep Superior, Mission

THOMPSON FALLS 3, SUPERIOR 0

The Lady Hawks had a new conference this past Thursday as they hosted the Superior Bobcats. Thompson took a quick and steady lead in all three sets 25-9, 25–9, 25-7 to earn them their first win at home. The Bobcats tried to keep several volleys, but the young Lady Hawks found their groove between each other to keep them at bay.

Gabi Hannum and Oliva Fitchett led the Lady Hawks in aces both with four. Fitchett also had an impressive 29 set assists. From those assists Sarah Koskela had 11 kills with Hannum behind her with 10. Hannum and Addy Deal each had a block. Koskela put the work in for four digs for Thompson.

THOMPSON FALLS 3, MISSION 0

Lady Hawks then traveled to Mission Saturday to face off the Bulldogs. Thompson fought hard and swept the Bulldogs in three sets, 25-23, 25–14, 25-17.

Fitchett had 22 set assists, setting up Hannum for 9 of the Lady Hawks 26 kills. Koskela and Addi Pardee came in with five kills each. Annalise Fairbank scored four of the team's 11 aces. Thompson accomplished five blocks with Koskela leading with four. The Lady Hawks are at home this Thursday to face off against the Plains Trotters.

MISSION 3, PLAINS 0

The Plains Trotters traveled to Mission to take on the Bulldogs Thursday, falling in three sets.

Jaelyn Carr led the Trotters in digs with an impressive 17, Marissa Young behind her with 9, and Lexie Deming had 6. Blakely Lakko had 11 set assists with Claire Lakko close at 9. Deming came in hot with five kills for Plains, while Teagen Saner was right behind her with four. Blakely got three aces, with Carr and Young both getting two for the Trotters.

SUPERIOR 0

Plains then had their sights on the Superior Bobcats winning in three sets, 25-6, 25-14, 25-15.

Blakely served up 5 aces for the Trotters with Carr and Young each earning four. Carr skillfully got 16 digs with Taylor and Teagen Saners getting six each. Blakely got 13 set assists while Claire was close with nine. Teagan led in kills with 5, yet Carr and Deming each got four.

The Trotters gear up to face Thompson Falls this Thursday.

HOT SPRINGS 3, SEELEY-SWAN 0

Hot Springs Savage Heat hosted the Seeley-Swan Blackhawks this past Tuesday winning in three sets, 25-18, 25-20, 25-13.

The Savage Heat Brooke Jackson led the team in 10 set assists, with Lauryn Aldridge getting 7 kills from those assists. Aldridge also led the way in two of the team's three blocks. Callie Cano had a stunning six of the Savage Heats 18 digs, Kara Christensen kept the Blackhawks from scoring with her seven of 17 aces.

Hot Springs is set to take on the Noxon Lady Red Devils on Tuesday.

NOXON 3, TROY 0

The Noxon Lady Red Devils had the Troy Trojans at home this past Tuesday fighting and winning in three sets 25-19, 25-22, and 25-13.

Lady Red Devils had 18 aces with Mia Vogel getting an incredible eight, Seanna Richter was right behind her with six. Emma Swanson had six set assists with Vogel getting four. Out of Noxon's 16 kills Seanna Richter got an admirable nine kills, Vogel got four.Maygan Swanson impressively led the Lady Red Devils in blocks with three out of the team's four. Alexia Risch had the lead for Noxons 21 digs with six, with Maygan was close behind at four.

Noxon also traveled to Charlo on Thursday and St. Regis on Saturday. Results were not available. Noxon is set to host Hot Springs Savage Heat on Tuesday.
