The Over the Hill Gang took their penultimate round around River’s Bend Golf Course on Monday as they prepare for the final league day September 18.
This week, they enjoyed a yellow ball scramble, with the team of Dave Petteys, Mike Normandin and Scott Garr garnering the low yellow ball score of 37. Patrick Walt, Sam Bernhardt and Bruce Icenoggle combined for the lowest regular scramble score.
Second place in yellow ball play went to Doug Deck, Ron Beaty and Tom Pride, while Liz Morkert, Kristy Beaty and Lana Nolen came in third. In regular scramble play, Gary Moe and Dennis Gripp were second and Dan Kier, Randy Hojem and Al Luckow finished third.
Hojem and Nolen each added a chip-in for Monday’s round.
Pride sank the long putts on No. 11 and No. 13, Gripp took that honor on No. 12 and Bernhardt was closest to the pin on No. 14 and hit the long drive for those 70 and over on No. 15. Hojem had the long putt on No. 15, Ron Beaty on No. 16, Petteys on No. 17 and Normandin on No. 18. Long drives on No. 18 were hit by Kier and Kristy Beaty and Luckow was closest to the pin on No. 16.
In the final fun of the season, the gang will gather September 18 for a last round of play and a steak luncheon.
