Grateful for health board

What if Public Policy could be “Dead Wrong”?

In Mindy Ferrell’s LTE of November 2 she proclaims putting aside personal opinion to serve the public good and only and always follow public policy.

Sanders County residents should be grateful their Health Board acted responsibly by their decision to no longer offer COVID vaccines. Citing safety reasons and lack of proper testing is a positive outcome that informs me our County Health Board is watching out for each of us. In addition, the Public Health Officer recommends individuals who still desire this latest round of vaccines should consult first with their health care provider about getting the vaccine – yet another constructive precaution. Kudos to our County Health Department.

Even though the Centers for Disease Control, the Surgeon General of the United States and the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services got their marching orders from the mighty medical cartel, these edicts do not guarantee a flawless public policy. Oftentimes, public policy can be “dead wrong.” From my own personal experience, I’ve had several family members and friends who have been ‘vaccine injured’ or died because they followed “public policy.”

How effective was public policy that forced lengthy school closures damaging children’s learning abilities while increasing their fear of isolation, not to mention the emotional, behavioral and psychological harms that occurred among millions of children and young adults? What role did public policy lockdowns play in destroying economic prosperity and causing millions of businesses to fail; many never able to open their doors again? Explain the virtues of public policy which instituted vaccine mandates across our nation causing job losses, ruining livelihoods and creating significant unemployment.

Therefore, following public policy for the sake of following public policy can not only be harmful, it has the potential to be deadly.
