The weather may have been cloudy and cold last Wednesday, but the gym of Thompson Falls High School was warm and bright as Senior Hayden Hanks signed to go to Boise State University in front of friends and family, to go from a Blue Hawk to a Bronco. Hanks said he is headed to college to take on business and to go for a defensive lineman position with the Broncos.
"I am extremely excited and proud of Hayden. I think the whole team really made this happen. They made him believe in not only having love for himself but for football as well," Blue Hawk head football coach Jared Koskela said as Hanks signed his intent.
"I am also extremely proud, it's kids like Hanks that make me love being a lineman coach," lineman coach Ray Buchanan said.
Hanks thanked his family and friends for being there for him, and his teachers and coaches for everything they have done for him. When asked why Boise State he said that the coaches and team "feel like family already."
