Snow or no snow, Keg Bowl lives on

There was no snow this year at the 42nd annual Keg Bowl, but that didn't stop 22 players of different generations of Blue Hawks from hitting the field. The men were split into two teams, the Blue team and the White team.

While no real score was being kept, it would be the blue team who would kick the game off, the white team were swift to earn the ball back. After a white ball fumble the football would find itself back into the hands of the blue team. They couldn't make the play happen and quickly the white team was able to score their first touchdown. The blue team was swift to answer with points of their own tying up the game with only minutes left in the first half.

After getting warm by the barrel fire it was time for the second half. Both teams came back with intensity. Nathan Wilhite was able to make a swift run up the middle for the white team earning their second touchdown. The blue wouldn't be able to answer back with a touchdown of their own before the end of the game.

Thompson Falls alumni Dominique Holt said this was his sixth year taking on other generations of Blue Hawks in the annual Keg Bowl. "I love being a part of this tradition because back in 2014 I received the scholarship from the money that they raised. So I love to help the people that helped me and hopefully future recipients," Holt said of why he keeps coming back for the annual event.

Holt said his favorite part is just being able to play football with other generations of Blue Hawks, whether it be coaches, family members, or even people he's been able to coach.

Other players included Kade Pardee, Kylan Owens, Nate Wilhite, Roman Sparks, Elijah Ratliff, Jack Wilhite, Carson Alexander, Trey Fisher, Dane Chojnacky, Nate Horton, Avery Bonnes, Nate Wilhite, Brandon Zimmerman, Ray Buchanan, Derek Anderson, Scott Pardee, Jared Koskela and RT Brown.
