The Plains Trotters took on Mission-Arlee-Charlo (MAC) in their second game of the season falling 1-16.
Quickly MAC was able to get on the board, scoring a colossal 11 runs in the first inning, while keeping the Trotters to only first base. At the top of the second MAC was able to sneak in one more run before Plains was able to strike them out. Headed into the third, MAC would be able to score four more runs, after a walk and an error helped them keep their lead. The Trotters only had one hitter senior Marissa Young who hit a massive single home run to center field at the bottom of the third, but MAC had too much of a lead and the mercy rule had MAC winning in three innings.
The Trotters are tenacious and will hit the road this weekend taking on Florence and Three Forks in Missoula, a double headed on Friday. Saturday Plains will face Ennis and Manhattan in a double header starting at noon.
They will then have another chance at MAC before having a stretch of four home games.
