Hot Springs hosts Dave Tripp meet

Hot Springs hosted their annual Dave Tripp Memorial in Polson, where the Savage Heat, Plains and 15 schools came together for an action packed track and field day.

Nicholas Hill led for Plains in the 100 meter race, with his time of 11 seconds. Behind him was Greg Tatum with a time of 12.02, Matthew Thurston in 12.70 and Jack Cockrell rounded it out for the Horsemen in 14.06. Hill took sixth place in the 200 meters with his time of 25 seconds, Thurston finished in 26.57, Liam Lyman crossed the finish line in 28.35 and Cockrell ended with a time of 28.93. Darren Standeford took fourth place with his time of 54 seconds in the 400 meter run, while Zander Czifro came in behind with a time of 56.39, Aiden Silva finished in 1 minute andCooper Meredith got a time of 1:01. Joseph Martin led for Plains in the 800 meters with a time of 2 minutes, 18 seconds, Asher Seymour got a stunning time of 2:47. Martin took fourth in his 1600 meter race with his time of 5 minutes, 14 seconds, Mike Reistroffer was behind with a time of 5:16, Kalem Ercanbrack crossed the finish line with a time of 5:40, Seymour got a time of 6:09, and lastly for the Horsemen was Konrad Maicher with his time of 6:15. Reistroffer led in the 3200 meters with a stunning time of 11 minutes, 45 seconds, Ercanbrack took sixth place, finishing in 12:25. Brenden Vanderwall set a new personal record in the 300 meter hurdles, getting a time of 48 seconds. Hill, Standeford, Tatum and Czifro ran the 4 by 100 meter race, placing fourth with their time of 48 seconds.

Trotter Marina Tulloch finished in first place in two events at Polson. She finished the 1,600 in 5 minutes, 40 seconds, and crossed the finish line first in the 3,200-meter race in 12:33. Aly Roy led the Trotters in the 100 meter race with her time of 14 seconds, Ireland Corbin finished in 15.02, while Amy Hill rounded it out for Plains with her time of 15.34. Kalli Tuma led Plains in the 200 meters with her time of 30 seconds, Corbin finished in 31.73, and Amy Hill crossed at 34.14. Tuma took fourth place in the 400 meters for her run of 1minute, 8 seconds and Katelyn Subatch finished in 1:11. Peyton Wasson took second in the 800, finishing in 2 minutes, 43 seconds, and also finished second in the 1,600 in 6:18. Amy Hill took sixth place with her time of 19 seconds in the 100 meter hurdles. Ashley Ferlan got a new personal record for the 300 meter hurdles with her time of 57 seconds. Amy Hill, Corbin, Aly Roy and Tuma ran the 4 by 100 meter relay in 57 seconds. Tuma, Wasson, Ferlan and Subatch finished third in the 4 by 400 meter relay in 4 minutes, 41 seconds.

David Chapman led for the Savage Heat in the 100 meter run with his time of 12 seconds, Calvin Timmer finished in 13.49 and Robert Setters crossed the finish line at 14.63. Samson Jakabosky led for Hot Springs in the 200 meter with his time of 28 seconds, while Setters came in behind him with a time of 31.32. Wesley Adams ran the 1,600 meters, taking seventh with his time of five minutes, 21 seconds, while Elijah Campbell would come in behind him with a time of 5:40. Campbell would race in the 3,200 finishing in 13 minutes, 47 seconds. In the 110 meter hurdles, Chapman earned second place with his time of 16 seconds and Ben Aldridge finished in 18.84. Chapman took first in the 300 meter hurdles with his amazing time of 44 seconds and Ben Aldridge was behind in 49.18, Wesley Adams finished in 52.39, and Jakabosky rounded it out for the Savage Heat with a time of 54.73.

Kara Christensen ran the women's 100 meter race in just 14 seconds, while Kora Hensrude was behind her with a time of 15.11 and Ava Bouquet earned a time of 15.77 for Hot Springs. Hensrude ran the 200 meter with a time of 31 seconds, while Bouquet was behind her with 34.43. Christensen took fourth place in the 100 meter hurdles with her stunning time of 19 seconds, she would go on to take third in the 300 meter hurdles with her time of 53 seconds.

Brenden Vanderwall got a personal record in shot put for the Horsemen with his throw of 39 feet, Kylan Bostick behind with a throw of 34’.06”, Will Tatum threw 32’, Kadein Jurek behind with a throw of 31’2” and Gabe Rasmussen threw 30’10”. Vanderwall took seventh in discus for his 108 foot, 11 inch throw, Rasmussen behind with 74 '8, Tatum threw 72' 10”, Jurek close behind with a throw of 68'1”, and Bostick got 60'1”. Joseph Martin threw javelin for Plains with an impressive throw of 128 feet nine inches, while Tatum came behind with a throw of 122'10”, Konrad Maicher with a throw of 117'9” and Cody West threw 107'10” for Plains.

Vanderwall jumped 18 feet, 7 inches in the long jump, while Meredith cleared 16’2”.

Alexis Deming took first for Plains in shot put and discus, throwing a stunning 35 feet, 10 inches for shot put and a beautiful 117 feet for discus. Mackenzie Tulloch behind her with a throw of 23'8”, Corbin threw an impressive 21'6”.

Ashley Ferlan threw in discus getting 73 feet, 11 inches, while Corbin was behind with 62’. Mackenzie Tulloch threw the javelin with a throw of 47’3”. Katelyn Subatch got a new personal record at high jump, jumping 4’8”, and she would take fourth place in long jump getting 15’2”.

For the Savage Heat David Chapman earned sixth place in shot put throwing 41 feet, 6 inches, Saul Gonzalez behind him with a throw of 21'1”. Ben Aldridge threw javelin for Hot Springs throwing 111’1”, behind him was Setters with a throw of 86'2”, Timer threw 83'6”, and Jakabosky rounding it out with a throw of 71'5”. Chapman earned sixth place for his long jump of 19 feet eight inches, with Aldridge behind with 17'8”, Wesley Adams close with a jump of 17'6”. Elijah Campbell got a new personal record at triple jump with his jump of 30’4”.

Georgia Uski threw the shot putt getting a throw of 28 feet two inches, behind her was Hollis Key with a throw of 23'6”. Uski also threw discus getting fifth place with her throw of 94’4”, Key behind with her throw of 72'3”, Kandra Crane threw 58'11” while Ava Bouquet threw 42'7”. Kara Christensen took fourth place in javelin with her throw of 96 feet, Crane behind her with 61'4”, Hensrude getting 60'11”, and Bouquet throwing a solid 54’. Crane got sixth place with her high jump of 4’2”. Hensrude jumped a long jump of 13’5”, behind her was Key with 12'5”. Key would be the only Savage Heat to triple jump getting an impressive 23’7” feet seven inches.
