Plains, TF athletes best in 7B

The Hot Springs Savage Heat brought home the hardware from the District track and field meet last week, with both the boys and girls placing second as a team.

Noxon and Hot Springs traveled to Missoula for the district meet, where one Red Devil and three Savage Heat athletes took first place in their respective events. Only the top five make it to the divisional tournament. The Hot Springs boys took second place with 97 points and the girls garnered 104 points.

Noxon’s Ricky Willams took first place in three events, including the high jump, in which he cleared 5 feet seven inches, the long jump (20’02”) and the triple jump (41’1.50”).

For Hot Springs, David Chapman earned first place in four events, winning the 100 meter race in 11 seconds, the 200 meters in 24.00, the 110 meter hurdles in 15.61, and the 300 meter hurdles in 44.04. Kara Christensen earned first place for her 100 meter hurdles race with her time of 18.01, as well as in the 300 meter hurdles with 54.04, and the javelin with a throw of 103 '00". Lanet Jakabosky earned first place in the long jump clearing 13 '11.50 ".

Chance McDaid earned fourth place for Noxon in the 100 meter race with his time of 12.44, while Owen Ramsey came behind with 12.46. McDaid would go on to earn third place in the 200 meters with his time of 25.13. He would take sixth place in the 400 meter race for his time of 56.48. Ricky Williams would take second place in the 110 meter hurdles for his time of 17.16, and second place in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 44.70.

Maygan Swanson would take sixth place in the 200 meter race for her time of 31.03. Sophie Pizzini would take second place for her time of 6:45 in the 1600 meter race. Georgia Boehme would also take second place but this time in the 3200 meter race for her time of 6:45. Natasha Fisher would take fourth place in the 100 meter hurdles with her time of 22.52. Fisher would go on to take fourth place in the 300 meter hurdles, crossing the finish line in 1:11. The women’s 4 by 400 relay team which included Seanna Richter, Sophie Pizzini, and the Swanson sisters earned second place with their time of 5:04.

Owen Ramsey took fifth place in shot put throwing 40’'09”. He would go on to take sixth place in the discus throwing 94’10”. Shane Murray took third place in the javelin throwing 140’05”.

Danielle Slonaker of Hot Springs earned fifth place in the 8800 meters with a time of 2:18.76, and Wesley Adams came behind with 2:18.91. Elijah Campbell took third place in the 1600 meter race with his time of 5:12, with Adams behind with 5:25, and Wyatt Campbell with 5:44. Elijah Campbell took second place in the 3200 meter race with a time of 11:50, Adams taking third with 12:16, Wyatt Campbell taking fourth with 12:36, and Calvin Timmer taking fifth place with 13:01. Ben Aldridge took fourth place in the 110 meter hurdles with his time of 19.07. He would go on to take third place in the 300 meters for his time of 48.60. The men’s 4 by 400 relay team including Ben Aldridge, Wesley Adams, Danielle Slonaker, and Elijah Campbell took third place with their time of 4:03.

Savage Heat’s David Chapman took fourth place in shot put, throwing 41’6.50”. Wesley Adams would take fifth place for his long jump, clearing 17’09”, Ben Aldridge behind with 17’07”.

Kora Hensrude took fifth place in the 100 meter hurdles with her time of 14.59, with Lanet Jakabosky at 14.76. Hensrude would go on to take fourth place in the 200 meters with her time of 30.23. Jakabosky would take on the 100 meter hurdles and take third place with her time of 21.92.

Georgia Uski would take fourth place in shot put throwing 28’07”, Kandra Crane with 25’1.50”, and Kora Hensrude with 24’7”. Uski would go on to take second place in discus for her throw of 98’7”, Kara Chistensen behind with 90’05”, and Kandra Crane taking fifth place for her throw of 86’4”. Lanet Jakabosky took fifth place in the javelin for her throw of 77’9”. Hensrude would take second place in the long jump clearing 13’8.50”.

Chance McDaid would take seventh place in the 800 meters with his time of 2:21. Shane Murray would take eighth place in shot put for his throw of 33 '08".

Maygan Swanson would take seventh place in the 100 meter dash for her time of 14.77, with Natasha Fisher behind with 16.79. Emma Swanson would earn seventh place in the 200 meter run with her time of 32.41 and Seanna Richter with 33.18. Maygan Swanson would go on to take eighth place in the 400 meter dash for her time of 1:16.

Emma Tweed threw the shot put, throwing 21 '11.50”, teammate Fisher behind with a throw of 20' 11.50”. Maygan Swanson threw discus for the Red Devils earning a throw of 72’11”, Georgia Boehme behind with 65’11”, and Fisher with 52’02”. Tweed would go on to throw the javelin clearing 61’06”.

Samson Jakabosky of Hot Springs would take ninth place in the 100 meter race with his time of 13.21, and Robert Setters came in with 14.82. Samson would go on to race the 200 meters earning a time of 27.11, Setters with 30.67.

Ava Bouquet earned a time of 15.74 for her 100 meter run. She would go on to run in the 200 meters earning a time of 33.95.

Calvin Timmer threw shot put for the Savage Heat throwing 29’8”, with Saul Gonzalez throwing 21’1”. Danielle Slonaker threw the discus 91’9”, with Gonzalez at 53’6”. Slonaker would go on to throw the javelin 117’6.50”, Ben Aldridge with 114’9”, Timmer with 99’00”, Samson Jakabosky with 92’3.50”, and Robert Setters with 89’11”. Timmer would go on to take tenth in the long jump clearing 16’1”, and Samson Jakabosky clearing 15’6.75”. Wyatt Campbell would take seventh place in the triple jump clearing 33’4”, and Elijah Campbell clearing 29’8.50”.

Hollis Key would throw the discus for Hot Springs throwing 77’9”, and Lanet Jakabosky threw 73’5”. Kora Hensrude would take ninth place in javelin throwing 67’00”, Kandra Crane with 65’8”, and Ava Bouquet with 61’2.50”.

The teams will head back to Missoula this weekend for the divisional meet Friday and Saturday.
