Red Devils finish season on road

The Noxon-Thompson Falls co-op baseball team headed to Whitefish for their tournament, first taking on the Troy Trojans falling 10-4.

The Red Devils opened the scoring in the first after Logan Buckner singled, scoring one run, but the Trojans were able to capture the lead in the bottom of the first after three singles and an error each scoring a run. Lars Goedhard singled in the second inning allowing Brayden McJunkin to score a run. The Red Devils were able to find home plate one more time before the bottom of the second. Troy would only add one more run in the second inning putting the score 5-3. The Devils were able to get a single to score a run, but they were met with five runs on three hits by Troy for the win.

Goedhard led with two runs, followed by Shane Hatchel, and McJunkin with one each.

The Red Devils then went on to face the Browning Indians, taking the win 7-0.

Noxon was quick to shut down Browning in the top of the first inning while scoring three runs, after two errors allowed two runs and Sean Nowlen singled, scoring a run. Back at the plate the Indians would once again remain scoreless by Noxon. The Red Devils were able to score four runs in the second inning, after an error scored a run, Bryson McCormick drew a walk scoring a run, and Tate Bosker singled, scoring two runs. These would be the last runs for the Red Devils, but they were able to keep Browning from scoring to take the win.

Michael Koskela, McJunkin, and Buckner each had two runs, while Ian Brown had one for the Red Devils.
