Local runners compete in Missoula

Running enthusiasts from Sanders County took to the streets of Missoula on Sunday for the annual Missoula Marathon.

Mike Lilly of Thompson Falls finished 129th overall in the full marathon and 19th of 100 in his age group of 30-39. He finished the 26.2-mile course in 3 hours, 31 minutes, 17.55 seconds. Thompson Falls graduate Jacob Naegeli, who now lives in Green Bay, Wisconsin, was 42nd in the same age group, finishing in 3:04:17.59.

Marlaina Mohr, 66 of Thompson Falls, also competed in the full marathon, crossing the finish line in 5:30:30.44, while 20-year-old Kaylah Marquez of Thompson Falls finished in 5:48:16.93.

Several locals and those with local ties competed in the half marathon on Sunday as well. Thompson Falls teachers Sierra Lilly (1:59:33.63), Brittany Nichols (2:33:42.92) and Sarah Naegeli (2:33:58.51) finished the half, as did Karl Eveleth of Thomspon Falls (2:29:17:14), Art Souverein of Trout Creek (1:40:27.60) and Gloria Yoder of Trout Creek (2:31:59.17). Naegeli's other son Logan, who lives in Wilsonville, Oregon, finished the half in 1:32:17.67, and Thompson Falls graduate Nicole (Ribeiro) Fehr of Anaconda crossed the finish line in 2:51:36.73.
