TFWC plans project

Thompson Falls Woman’s Club (TFWC) is once again supporting Community Harvest Food Bank with the club’s National Day of Service.

The National Day of Service is part of the General Federation of Women’s Club’s effort to unite through volunteer community service. State federations and clubs are encouraged to join in and organize programs in their communities.

This year’s National Day of Service issue of focus is food insecurity. In Thompson Falls, the TFWC will expand the hours of the local food bank to help reach individuals experiencing food insecurity. While the food bank in Thompson Falls is normally open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., TFWC and community volunteers will keep the food bank open on Thursday, Sept. 26, until 7 p.m. The club will also open the food bank on Saturday, Sept. 28, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
