Over the Hill Gang ups momentum

Some golf leagues may be winding down, but the Over the Hill Gang is keeping the momentum going on Monday’s at River’s Bend Golf Course.

Dave Gar shot the low men’s gross of 42 on Monday, while Ray Hoff had the low net of 32. Lana Nolen’s 49 was the low gross for the day, while Kristy Beaty carded the low net of 38.

Gary Thompson sank the long putt on No. 4 and had the closest drive on No. 8. Dave Petteys won for the longest putt on No. 2, with Dennis Gripp taking that honor on No. 3, Rusty Haggard on No. 6, Bruce Sterling on No. 7, Doug Deck on No. 8 and Carter Meyer on No. 9. Wally Gibe won for closest to the pin on No. 5 and Rob Belger smashed the long drive on No. 6.

While Kristy Beaty had the long drive on No. 9 for the women, Howard Morkert took that honor for the men. Morkert also earned a chip-in on No. 6 for a birdie, as did Al Luckow on No. 4, Kristy Beaty and Jesse Mack on No. 2, and Charlie Hooten on No. 8.

In the pay for par game (on hole 2 this week), Ron Beaty (for a birdie), Mack, Meyer, Garr and Dave Tallant were the winners.
