Some Thompson Falls residents had an unwelcome visitor last Wednesday. Tristan Franck reported that a rattlesnake was scurrying along Mount Silcox Drive near the Legion baseball field. A jogger killed the snake with a rock. When Franck's husband went to investigate the snake, he said it was more than 4 feet long.
