With the air getting cooler it could only mean two things, the start of school and school sports.
Fall sports this year include football, volleyball, cross country, and the newly formed Plains-Thompson Falls soccer teams.
Get ready for Friday nights under the lights with your Sanders County football teams with the first games starting August 30, the Thompson Falls Blue Hawks hit the road in their first game taking on the Conrad Cowboys. The Noxon Red Devils also hit the road taking on the Power-Dutton-Brady Titans for their first game of the season. The Hot Springs Savage Heat will host their first game taking on the Denton-Geyser-Stanford-Geraldine Wolverines. The Plains Horsemen will have their first game Saturday, hitting the road to see the Victor Pirates.
A once quiet gyms will now be aloud with the sounds of “mine” and “got it” as the 2024 volleyball season begins, Thompson Falls will hit the road taking on the Choteau tournament on Friday. The Lady Red Devils of Noxon and the Trotters of Plains will take on the Mission preseason tournament, while the Hot Springs Lady Savage Heat will host Drummond on September 5 to start their season.
The cross country teams will also be starting with Thompson Falls hitting the Roanan canal bank run on Friday, while the Plains team will host their first meet the same day.
The Plains-Thompson Falls Blue Hawk soccer team will host their first game of the season taking on the Lone Peak Big Horns on Saturday.
