Red Devils win in Clark Fork

ST. REGIS 3, NOXON 0

The Noxon Lady Red Devils hosted the St .Regis Lady Tigers, falling in three sets.

St. Regis would be the team to take the first points, gaining the lead, but was quickly answered with the Lady Devils coming back to go point for point. The Tigers would find their groove, shutting down the Noxon defense to take a massive lead. The Devils would not falter and kept a level head and were able to come back, holding the Tigers at 20 points. From there they would tie the game, until St. Regis pulled ahead for the set win.

The second set started with Noxon getting the first points, but St. Regis was lightning quick to get the serve and points back. They would shut down the Devils at just 16 points to take the second set win.

Noxon came back in the last set with intensity, taking the lead for themselves. The Tigers were able to answer with their own points taking back the lead. Seanna Richter was able to find a weak spot in the St. Regis defense, slamming down a spike to get the serve back into Noxon hands. The teams would go point for point and intense volley for intense volley until the Tigers once again took the lead. St. Regis would hold onto their lead and take the match win.

Richter and Emma Swanson each had five aces for the Devils, with Richter earning eight kills. Sandy Bonney had six digs for Noxon.

NOXON 3, CLARK FORK 0

The Red Devils took to the road taking on the Clark Fork Lady Wampus Cats, taking the win in three sets.

In the first set the teams would start out going point for point until Noxon was able to take the lead. They would hold onto their lead for much of the set, until the Wampus Cats came back to hold them at 15 points. The teams would fight for each point, until the Lady Devils were able to hold Clark Fork to 23 to take the set win.

Coming into the second, Noxon held it together and took a massive lead over the Wampus Cats. Using great teamwork the Devils would hammer down several spikes to keep their large lead. Noxon would only let Clark Fork score to 12 points before taking the set win.

In the third set, the Lady Wampus Cats came back strong, gaining the first points, making Noxon band together to take back the lead. The teams would go volley for volley, with the Lady Devils keeping the lead. Noxon was able to keep a level head and held Clark Fork to 20 points to take the match win.

Jasmin Risch had nine set assists for the Devils, with Seanna Richter getting five. Richter had seven kills for Noxon, with teammate Emma Swanson behind with six. Sophie Pizzini dug up 13 digs, and Risch had five aces for the Lady Devils.

The Devils take to the road, seeing the Alberton Panthers on Tuesday. Results will be in next week's Ledger.

THOMPSON FALLS 3, MISSION 0

The Thompson Falls Lady Hawks hosted the Mission Bulldogs, taking the win in three quick sets.

The Hawks came out soaring and quickly took the lead in the first set. Thompson was able to keep their massive lead for much of the set. With the score 23-11, Mission was able to gain the serve and they would hold Thompson while gaining their own points. But it wouldn't be enough to stop the fighting Hawks for the set win.

The Hawks kept their momentum going into the second set and would swiftly take a 6-0 lead. After intense volleys, the Lady Hawks would keep their massive lead over the Lady Bulldogs. While Mission was able to gain more points, the swift moving Thompson team would keep them to only eight points while taking the set for themselves.

Headed into the final set, the Bulldogs found new motivation and would come out going point for point with the Hawks. The teams would fight for each point until the Hawks were able to gain the lead. Thompson would hold onto the lead for much of the match until the serves found their way back to the Lady Bulldogs. There they were able to gain points, putting the score closer, but they wouldn't be able to take the last set from the soaring Hawks.

Annalise Fairbank took the lead for the Hawks with 16 set assists, Addi Pardee earned six digs while teammate Olivia Fitchett dug up five. Out of the teams 23 kills Gabi Hannum led with nine, Sarah Koskela and Pardee behind with five each. Hannum had 3 epic blocks, while Addy Deal served up six aces for the Hawks.

THOMPSON FALLS 3 SUPERIOR 0

The Hawks took that winner's energy and brought it to Superior to take on the Bobcats, winning in three sets.

Thompson would take the lead early in the first set, making the Bobcats work for their points. The Hawks would take a massive lead over Superior. It would be a quick first match as Thompson kpet the Bobcats to only 10 points.

Headed into the second set, once again the soaring Hawks would take the lead. They would keep their serving lead until a mistake put the ball in Lady Bobcat hands. From there Superior was able to gain more points, but wasn't able to catch up to the Hawks for the set win.

The last set started with the Hawks taking the lead, but the Bobcats were swift to find their groove, and would soon go point for point with Thompson. The Hawks would capitalize off several Superior errors to once again take the lead. Keeping the serve, the Hawks would be able to take the set, and take the on the road win.

Out of the teams 13 digs, Olivia Fitchett had 4 and Addy Deal had 3. Gabi Hannum hammered down 12 of the team's 29 kills, while teammate Sarah Kosekla earned seven. Hannum and Deal each earned three aces for the Hawks.

The Hawks will hit the road taking on the Plains Trotters on Thursday, starting at 7 p.m.

PLAINS 3, MISSION 0

The Trotters had their turn at the Mission Bulldogs, taking the road win in three sets.

The teams would have several intense volleys. This would be much of the first set, until Mission was able to take a swift four point lead. The Trotters kept a level head and were able to gain the serve, holding the Bulldogs at 22 while gaining six points to make the game tied. The last points would be fierce, with the Trotters pulling off a 26-24 set win.

Plains would come out on fire in the second set, taking a quick five point lead. They would hold Mission to just three points for much of the set until the Lady Bulldogs were able to find a hole in the Trotters defense to gain the serve. They would gain points but Plains would hold onto their lead, and soon the score would read 20-12. While the Lady Bulldogs would hold the Trotters to 20, it wouldn't last long and Plains would once again take the set win.

The Lady Bulldogs came out of the cage for the final set, and were able to go volley for volley with the Trotters. Soon Plains had a five point lead over Mission, but the Ldy Bulldogs were able to gain points to put the score within two. They would trail close behind until the Trotters hit 20 points. They were able to find their groove and bring the scores closer. But it wouldn't be enough for the win.

Claire Lakko led with 25 set assists, setting up Teagan Saner with 11 kills. Aubree Butcher came behind with seven kills and four blocks. Taylor Saner proved her arm slamming down 11 aces, with teammate Kalli Tuma behind with 10.

STILLWATER 3,

HOT SPRINGS 0

The Hot Springs Savage Heat hosted the Stillwater Cougars, falling in three sets.

Stillwater was quick to take the lead in the first set, making the Savage Heat work together to gain their points. With the score 9-23, Hot Springs made the Cougars work for the last of their points. Stillwater was able to take the first set for themselves.

Headed into set two, Hot Springs never faltered and with Brooke Jackson's serving help, the Savage Heat would keep Stillwater on their toes. The score being 22-13, Hot Springs was able to hold the Cougars while gaining points of their own. But it wouldn't be enough for the set win.

Going into the final set the Lady Savage Heat found their groove and would go point for point and tie up the set at 7 points. Hot Springs was able to capitalize off several Lady Cougar errors to keep the game going point for point. Stillwater was able to pull ahead 15-10, and they would keep their lead. The Lady Savage Heat would band together to gain points but not enough for the win.

CHARLO 3,

HOT SPRINGS 0

Hot Springs then traveled to take on the Charlo Vikings, sinking in three sets.

Swiftly Charlo would take the lead early in the first set, finding holes in the Hot Springs defense. The Vikings would keep their lead, making it larger after capitalizing off several Lady Savage Heat mistakes. With the score 12-5

Kara Christensen was able to smack down a hit to gain the serve for Hot Springs. The Savage Heat kept a level head and were able to house a comeback but not enough for the set win.

Headed into set two the Lady Savage Heat brought new fire, gaining the first points. Hot Springs would hold onto their lead for much of the set, until Charlo was able to get several aces to lessen the point gap. The Vikings would hold Hot Springs to 10 points while taking the lead. The Savage Heat kept their fire and would hold Charlo at 21 points while gaining their own points, but ultimately were unable to take the set win.

The final set proved to be a powerhouse with Charlo taking the lead quickly. Hot Springs was able to work together to keep the serve and bring back their points. The score would be 10-4 before a quick block from Hollis Key would get the serve back for Hot Springs. With the set tied up at 11, the teams would go point for point and volley for volley before the Lady Savage Heat took the lead. Down to the last few points, it would be the Charlo Vikings who would take the set and match win.
