Lady Hawks sweep Bobcats

The Thompson Falls Lady Hawks made quick work of the Superior Lady Bobcats in three sets.

While the Bobcats came out to gain the first points, the Hawks kept a level head and were swift to bring the scores to a tie. From there the Hawks were able to keep their lead, keeping Superior at their heels. With the score tied up at 19 the Hawks would hold the Bobcats while taking the first set win.

To start the second set Olivia Fitchett would show the crowd her wicked serving skills as the Hawks took a quick six point lead. From there the Hawks would keep a level head and would hold the lead for much of the set. While the Bobcats tried they were no match for Thompson, and the Hawks would take the second set with a score of 25-14.

In the third set the Bobcats were quick to find new fire and would go point for point with the Hawks. From there Superior would take their first and only lead of the night. But the level-headed Hawks were quick to take back the lead. From there the Hawks would keep the Bobcats held at just 10 points while Fitchett proved her serving skills for an ace to take the match win.

Olivia Fitchett led the Hawks with 27 set assists, while Gabi Hannum had 10 spikes, with Addy Deal behind with eight. Fitchett had six of the team's 15 aces, while leading with Hannum and Sarah Koskela for digs with three for each of them.

THOMPSON FALLS 3 MISSION 1

The Hawks then hit the road taking on the Mission Lady Bulldogs, taking the win in four sets.

Both teams came out going point for point with each other, until the Bulldogs were able to take the lead. Thompson kept up with Mission and never let them get more than two ahead, until they were able to tie the game up at 15 points. From there the teams would have intense volleys until Mission would take back the lead, and would take the first set win.

Thompson came out for the second set and was quick to take the lead. Mission was swift and would be able to keep the scores close together. The Hawks were able to gain back the serve and from there would make the point gap larger. The Hawks kept their large lead for the rest of the set, and would be quick to hold the Bulldogs to just 12 points.

In the third set Mission was quick to take the lead over the Hawks, and would hold a five point lead over them for much of the set. But the Hawks kept a level head and would be able to bring the points back to within one quickly. From there the teams would go hit for hit and point for point until the Hawks were able to take back the lead. They would house a four point lead until the Bulldogs were able to bring the points to a tie at 19. From there the Hawks would take the lead and the third set win.

Quickly the Hawks would take the lead in the fourth set but the Bulldogs were quick to come back to lessen the point gap. The Hawks never faltered and were once again able to swiftly take a four point lead over the Bulldogs. From there they would make their point gap even larger, making Mission work for the points. With the Hawks up seven points they would only allow the Bulldogs to gain four more points before taking the match win.

Olivia Fitchett had 35 set assists, setting up Sarah Koskela and Addy Deal with 13 spikes each. Fitchett also led the Hawks with six aces, while Addi Pardee held the lead for digs with seven.

THOMPSON 3,

CHARLO 0

The Hawks took to the road again, this time taking on the Charlo Lady Vikings, taking the win in three quick sets.

Thompson came out and was able to gain the lead over the Vikings early in the first set. They would hold onto their lead for much of the set. Holding a four point lead, the hard hitting Hawks were able to take that point gap farther. The Hawks were able to keep Charlo to just 15 points while taking the first set win.

Coming out for the second the Vikings would go point for point with Thompson, until the Hawks were able to once again take the lead. Charlo would keep a level head and would be able to bring the points closer together, but they wouldn't be able to take back the lead. Keeping the points close together the Vikings were able to tie the game at 18 points. From there the teams would go point for point until the Hawks were able to keep Charlo at just 22 while taking the second set win.

Charlo would take the lead in the third set, housing a five point lead until the Hawks were able to gain the serve and would quickly put the points back within two. The game tied up at just 10 points. The Vikings would take the lead, but Thompson kept up their defenses and were able to gain the serve back, and would bring the game back to tie at 16. From there they would take the lead, with the Vikings soaring close behind. With intense volley after intense volley the Hawks were able to keep their lead, and holding Charlo at 21 points, they would gain the final four points to take the match win.

Olivia Fitchett led for the Hawks with 33 set assists, setting up Addi Pardee with 14 spikes. Gabi Hannum was behind with 12 spikes, while Sarah Koskela led with five digs. Pardee held the lead earning three of the team's 12 aces.

PLAINS 3, SUPERIOR 0

The Trotters then hit the road taking their chance at the Superior Lady Bobcats, taking the win in three sets.

Both teams came out and went point for point until the Trotters were able to take the lead. Quickly they would hold onto the serving lead, putting more points between the teams. The Bobcats were quick to come back and put the points close together. Plains never faltered and showed their teamwork and were able to take back a larger lead. Keeping Superior to just 19 points, the Trotters were swift to gain the six points needed to take the win.

Plains came out in the second set and was quick to set the tone, earning the first points and keeping a large lead. While the Bobcats tried to take back the lead, they would be held at just 10 points. The whirlwind Trotters would hammer down several aces and spikes to take the second set win.

Superior would come out and gain the first points, but the Trotters worked together and were able to take back the lead. From there the Trotters would hang onto their lead, making the Bobcats scramble and work together extra hard to gain points. While the Bobcats were able to bring the score within two, they wouldn't be able to take back the lead. Holding Superior to just 18 points the Trotters were able to take the win over the Bobcats.

Claire Lakko led with 21 set assists, and Teagan Saner had seven spikes. Teagan led the Trotters with five blocks and six aces. Lakko had five aces, and Kalli Tuma had four for Plains. Lexi Deming and Lakko each dug up nine digs.

PLAINS 3, MISSION 1

The Plains Trotters had their chance at the Mission Lady Bulldogs, taking the win also in four sets.

It would be the Trotters who came out gaining the first points. From there they would be able to hold onto their lead until the Bulldogs tied the game at 10 points. From there Plains would take the lead, and would put more points between the teams. While Mission would try to come back, they wouldn't be able to take back the lead. The Trotters would cage the Bulldogs at just 17 points while taking the first set.

Coming out for the second set, Plains would once again take the lead. The Bulldogs would try to tie the game but they wouldn't be able to, and the Trotters would keep their massive lead. Holding Mission to just 12 points, the Trotters would take the second set.

The third set had an intense start as both teams would go point for point, until the Bulldogs were able to take the lead. The teams would go volley for volley until the game tied up at 15. From there the Bulldogs would once again take the lead over the Trotters, but Plains would keep the points within two, until Mission held the Trotters at 22 points while taking the third set.

The Trotters came out to gain the first points in the fourth set, they would hold onto their lead for much of the set until Mission was able to come back and put the points within one. From there they would take a slight lead over the Trotters until Plains was able to send several aces over to take back the lead. With the game tied up at 20 the Trotters put it into overdrive and would be able to take the match win.

Claire Lakko led with 29 set assists, setting up Teagan Saner with 11 spikes, and Aubree Butcher came in behind with 10. Teagan led Plains with nine blocks, with Lakko behind with six and Kalli Tuma had five. Teagan also hammered down six aces. Taylor Saner had 12 digs for Plains with Tuma and Teagan behind with nine each.

TROY 3, NOXON 0

The Noxon Lady Red Devils hit the road taking on the Troy Lady Trojans, falling in three sets.

Quickly in the first set, the Trojans came out to take the lead over the Devils, while Noxon was able to keep the scores close together. Troy was able to take a larger lead, holding the Devils to just nine points while gaining their own. But the Devils never faltered and were able to gain back the serve, and would be able to gain more points. The Trojans would earn back the serve and after several intense volleys, they would take the first set.

Noxon started the second set going point for point with Troy, until the Trojans were able to take the lead. But the Devils were quick to keep it within two, until Troy earned the serve and made the point gap larger. The Devils kept their teamwork and were able to come back, putting just one point between the teams. Tied at 18, it would be the Trojans who would take the lead back and the second set win.

The teams would start the third set going point for point with Noxon, taking the first lead of the game. While the Trojans took the lead back, the Devils would keep a level head and keep the points within two. With the game tied up at 10 points it would be Troy who would take back the serve and the lead. Noxon was able to keep the points close together after earning back the serve. With the set 21-16 and the Trojans up, Noxon was able to hold Troy while gaining back points, but it wouldn't be enough to take the match win.
