Blue Hawk fundraiser planned for Nov. 23

Thompson Falls Blue Hawk Athletics is hosting their annual athletics fundraiser Saturday, November 23, 6-8 p.m. at the Clark Fork Valley Elks Lodge. All proceeds support junior high and high school athletics at Thompson Falls schools.

Attendees can expect a fun evening that includes a live auction, silent auction, and bake sale, said organizer Jodi Kenney. Unique items and experiences are being donated from around our generous Thompson Falls community for the auctions. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased at the high school office 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Thompson Falls schools boast high numbers of student athletes, Kenney said, many of whom participate in multiple sports throughout the year. At the high school alone, over 65% of students participated in fall athletics! This fundraiser helps fund items such as equipment, uniforms, and more, she added..

The fundraiser will host a locally sourced meal complete with appetizers and dessert. New to the fundraiser this year, Main Street Burger is making and donating elk and lasagna burger appetizers. They are also preparing bison steaks from a St. Ignatius buffalo ranch and mashed potatoes grown and donated by Forbidden Fruit Farmstand. Other local businesses donating to the dinner include Montana Wild Roots, Waterway Ranch and Harvest Foods.
