Church creates group for community events

Tiny Bees Daycare owner Holly Sanders (which we wrote about earlier this month) is also part of the Falls Chapel Events nonprofit organization. Sanders said the group does community outreach and offers free events for families. They do movies, a Valentine’s dinner, a fall harvest dinner and kids carnival at Falls Chapel. They are even planning a murder mystery dinner on January 3.

The events are free for the community, though the group also takes donations. Last Saturday at the Fall Forest Festival at Ainsworth park, the church had a constant line of visitors getting free popcorn and cotton candy from Falls Chapel Events.

This year, as they did last year, the group is organizing a shoe drive for local children. Last year they raised nearly $7,500 for shoes and snow boots that were distributed to kids throughout Sanders County. They also expanded their reach after hearing of a need on the Northern Cheyenne reservation and shared a portion of the donations with them.

“We want to keep reaching the community and helping where we can,” Sanders stated.
