The Church Street Emergency Water Main project is complete for this year. The hydrant risers are on order and when they arrive, they will be installed Street and staging area restorations will be done in 2025. Thanks everyone for your understanding. Construction is inconvenient but the security of not having to deal with another possible rupture during winter is a relief.
Grateful to have the proactive construction done to preempt another break on Church Street from old steel pipes before winter set in. This project was a challenging task with limited traffic access and weather. Again, thank you all for your patience.
The Street Improvements Project on Haley Street had two bidders and was awarded to TCI.
This will be done in 2025 when the weather is favorable.
The Council approved the 6 easements with landowners for the Phase 3&4 Wastewater Project. The purpose of these easements is to provide gravity mains instead of the more costly lift stations. The easements total $46,399.57. Lift stations are approximately $500,000 each with annual maintenance and electricity.
The Council also approved another 6 months ZOOM Pilot Project to make City Council
meetings available to those not attending in person. The Zoom invitations can be found on our website and Facebook. Please let us know if you have any questions or difficulty joining the session.
Happy Holidays and best wishes in the New Year.
